King Arthur's Disasters
King Arthur's Disasters is a British cartoon series that originally broadcast on CITV, which is no longer a programming block on ITV1. Paul Parkes and Will Ashurst co-created the series, which follows and depicts King Arthur and the wizard Merlin's attempts to woo the beautiful, self-obsessed Princess Guinevere. Due to the show's popularity, it was renewed for a second season, which began airing on CITV on November6, 2005. Genevieve Dexter oversaw the production of both. King Arthur's Disasters was the most popular new CITV program during the 2005 spring season. It consistently attained an audience share of over 20% of children, and it routinely dominated its time slot against CBBC. The show was nominated for a 2006 children's BAFTA for Best Animation, but lost to The Incredible Adrenalini Brothers.
