Yagami Light can be an ace student with great prospects, who's bored out of his mind. 1 afternoon he sees that the"Death Notice": a laptop from the domain of the Death Gods, with the power to kill people in virtually any way he wants. Light determines to make his ideal environment, without even crime or criminals with the Death Notice inhand. When criminals start dropping dead person , the authorites send the legendary detective L to track down the killer, and a battle of wits, deception and logic ensues. . .this was aired on tv after the death note anime has been completed, this special basically re-cuts the first 26 episodes of the show into a two hour movie with a few fresh scenes and dialogue added and the narrative is observed in the viewpoint of ryuk.
