12 Angry Men
During the trial of a guy accused of his father's murder, a lone jury stands up to the others' guilty verdicts based on their prejudices and assumptions. Reginald Rose adapted the picture from his own 1957 film adaptation (directed by Sidney Lumet) as well as a Westinghouse One television program that came before it. Although righteous juror Jack Lemmon was denied a Golden Globe for Best Actor, recipient Ving Rhames (for Don King) dedicated his medal to Lemmon.
