15 Février 1839
In 1839, when the British army crushed the Patriot revolt, hundreds of rebels rot in prison. On February14, Marie-Thomas Chevalier De Lorimier and Charles Hindelang hear they will be hung in 24 hours with three colleagues. While waiting for death, the condemned consult with friends and family and give them their last wills. The five Patriots find the fortitude to go with dignity to the scaffold at daybreak, knowing they'll die for a just cause. www.tribute.ca
