A Gray State
In 2010 David Crowley, an Iraq veteran film maker and voice from fringe politics, began production on his picture grey State. Where civil liberties are trampled by an unrestrained government set in a mystical near-future, the picture's crowd funded trailer was received by the burgeoning online community of tea-party activists, libertarians and members of the nascent alt-right. In January of 2015, Crowley was found dead along with his family in their suburban Minnesota home. Their deaths that were shocking immediately develop into an underlying reason célèbre for conspiracy theorists who speculate Crowley was assassinated by a government worried with a film and film maker which has been getting near the facts about their aims.
