From early morning of April 9th 1940 the army is also alerted. The Germans have crossed the boundary. Denmark are currently at war against the strongest army of Europe. In Southern Jutland bicycle- and motorcycle businesses are organized out, to against all odds, hold the forces back until the reinforcements can be mobilized. In the mortal hours, we follow lieutenant Sand and also his bicycle company - they will on April 9th 1940 meet with the enemy in combat as the very first soldiers.
