Bandits

On the day when Jean Gabin passes away, the wife of Simon Verini is murdered by a kidnapper who also steals a wealth in diamonds from Cartiers. (Simon acted as a middleman for a young gang that robbed Cartiers; he suspects them of murder.) He is framed for the theft and spends ten years in prison, writing to his 11-year-old daughter Marie-Sophie. After being released, he reconnects with Marie-Sophie and the young thieves, wants vengeance, and is jailed again almost immediately. She does not understand her father, retreats to her Swiss fiancé, and is bewildered when one of the young criminals falls in love with her. When a crime affects families and relationships, is resolution possible?
