Bound by Honor

Primarily based on the true life adventures of poet Jimmy Santiago Baca, the movie centers around half-brothers Paco and Cruz, along with their cousin Miklo. It opens in 1972, because the three are members of the East L.A. gang called the"Vatos Locos", and the story centers around the way the barbarous crime and the effect of narcotics alter his or her own lives. Miklo is incarcerated and sent to San Quentin, where he makes a"home" for himself. Cruz becomes an exemplary artist, however a heroin dependence overcomes him with terrible outcomes. Paco becomes a cop and an enemy to his"carnal", Miklo.
