Dark Room
The author Nakata lives with the bitter recollection of his partner's untimely demise, which occurred a number of years ago. Or was it a suicide? Doubt remains. To escape his guilty Nakata, conscience abandons marriage and fatherhood. Thus liberated, he begins an obsessive record-keeping and journaling of his activities in "The Dark Room." A philosophical discourse on sexuality, procreation, and the future of humanity.
