Eight Men Out
The Chicago White Sox team of 1919 will be your saddest team. The team is sour in their penny-pincher owner and also in their own championships. Gamblers make the most of this chance to supply some players $ to throw the string (Most of those players did not get as much as promised.) But Buck Weaver and the excellent Shoeless Joe Jackson return at the last minute to try and play their best. The Sox actually return from a 3-1 deficit. The reality breaks from the Sox are sued on multiple accounts. Baseball commissioner Landis has other plans although They're found innocent by the jury. The eight players are frozen for life, and Buck Weaver, for the remainder of his life, strives to clear his name.
