Evangelion: 1.0 You Are (Not) Alone

After the 2nd Impact, Tokyo-3 is being struck by large animals called Angels that look for to remove humankind. The child Shinji's objective is to fight the Angels by piloting among the mystical Evangelion mecha devices. A remake of the initial 6 episodes of GAINAX's popular 1996 anime collection. The movie was retitled "Evangelion: 1.01" for its DVD release and "Evangelion: 1.11" for a launch with extra scenes.
