Farewell

Engaging, emotional and fascinating, FAREWELL is an intricate and intelligent thriller about a ordinary man thrust into Soviet information about this Cold War's biggest theft. Ronald Reagan called this piece of history - largely unknown until today -"certainly probably one of the main espionage cases of the 20th century." FAREWELL begins in 1981, after the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan. A French businessman located in Moscow, Pierre Froment, (Guillaume Canet) makes an unlikely reference to Grigoriev (Emir Kusturica), a senior KGB officer disenchanted in what the Presidential perfect is currently under Brezhnev. Grigoriev begins passing Froment information that is exceptionally sensitive about the Soviet spy network inside america.
