Fighting For The Motherland 1162
The Southern Song Dynasty was to be invaded in 1161 by Wanyan Liang, emperor of the Jurchen Jin Dynasty. People in the Central Plain struggled to make ends meet as a result of the strict recruitment policy and the Jin's brutality. Xin Qiji, a 21-year-old villager who joined forces with others to resist the Jin army, then joined Geng Jing's more powerful voluntary army and won victory after victory. In order to achieve the reunion and drive out invaders, Xin Qiji traveled to the south in 1162 to convince the Song Emperor to drive the Jurchens from the north. After completing his task successfully, Xin Qiji discovered the troops had lost morale and the commander Geng Jing had been murdered by a traitor. What strategy would Xin Qiji and his 50 devoted subordinates use in the face of Wanyan Basu's army of 50,000 soldiers?
