In My Father's House
To the Netherlands, journalist and TV Manufacturer Fatima Jebli Ouazzani along with her parents emigrated from Morocco at the age of 11. Her dad wed a Moroccan girl and left her mother. Fatima knew one thing for certain: she wouldn't allow herself to be wed off like her mum and grandma, therefore she moved from her family's house and broke with tradition. In this picture, the manager, unmarried and childless, wonders whether the right choices have been made by her. She places her very own history against the background of conventional marriage that is Moroccan. That's really what a girl who was born in Holland, Naima, has chosen for. On her wedding night, Naima has to prove she is still a virgin. By convention, the in laws wait beyond the bedroom to see the sheets.
