Jean de Florette
In a French village, his sole remaining relative and an old man cast their covetous eyes on an adjoining property. They desire to growing their blossoms, and are dismayed to know that the man who has inherited it is moving in. They block up and see as their new neighbour attempts to maintain his crops watered from wells throughout the hot summer. They think only of having the drinking water though they find his desperate efforts are breaking his health as well as his wife and daughter's hearts.
