Jeannette: The Childhood of Joan of Arc
France in 1425. In the midst of the Hundred Years' War, in the sleepy village of Domremy, young Jeannette, who is just eight years old, tends to her sheep. She expresses to her friend Hauviette one day how she can no longer stand to witness the pain brought on by the English. Nun Madame Gervaise tries to talk sense into the young girl, but Jeannette is prepared to use violence in order to free the Kingdom of France and save souls. She will become Joan of Arc, carried by her faith.
