Lost Command

After serving time in a Vietnamese war jail, the French lieutenant colonel Pierre Raspeguy was eventually released and dispatched to Algeria to assist in suppressing resistance troops there. Raspeguy tries to turn a ragtag group of soldiers into a formidable fighting unit by tempting them with the prospect of marrying a beautiful countess if he is promoted to the rank of general. He enlists the assistance of Captain Esclavier, who has grown tired of war, and Captain Boisfeuras, who lives for it.
