My Kingdom
The Prince Regent of the Qing Dynasty orders the wholesale death of the entire Meng clan in the nineteenth century. The leader swears before his beheading that his family would avenge this perversion of justice. A five-year-old Meng child named Erkui valiantly sings an aria while waiting for his death. The opera great Master Yu and his seven-year-old apprentice Guan Yilong are both moved by the strength and purity of his voice. The youngster is rescued by Master Yu, and the two orphans are reunited as brothers. Years later, Master Yu receives the Prince Regent's prized golden "The Mightiest Warrior" plaque, but loses it in a duel with his archrival Master Yue. Master Yu has been exiled from the stage as a result of his loss, and now spends his time in the hamlet training the two brothers. When the brothers reach adulthood, they decide to seek vengeance in Shanghai. They quickly defeat Master Yue once they arrive in Shanghai, capturing not just the plaque but also the Yue's opera group.
