Once There Was Brasília
Disguised as dystopian science fiction and incorporating references to George Miller and JG Ballard, the film proposes a reflection on the current Brazilian political and social situation, specifically the impeachment process of President Dilma Rousseff, while also rehearsing an alternate future for Brazil. As the country's political capital, and particularly as one of the most symbolic utopias of the twentieth century, Braslia shares protagonism with a few of renegades who survive by drifting marginally in search of personal and collective atonement.
