Sobibor
The movie is centered on a real story that happened from the Sobibor concentration camp at German-occupied Poland in 1943. The movie's major character is that the Soviet-Jewish soldier Alexander Pechersky, who at that point was serving as a lieutenant at the Red Army. Back in October 1943, he had been captured by the Nazis and sentenced to the Sobibor concentration camp, where Jews were exterminated in gas chambers. However, in just 3 weeks, Alexander had been ready to organize a uprising of offenders. This uprising resulted in being the only real successful one all through the war, which resulted in the escape of prisoners out of the Nazi concentration camp.
