Straw Dogs

David Sumner, Also a academic from the USA, marries Amy, an Englishwoman. In order to escape a busy stateside life style, David and his wife relocate to the small town in Cornwall at which Amy has been raised. There, David is ostracized by the brutish men including Amy's old flame, Charlie. The taunts escalate, and two of those locals rape Amy. This sexual assault awakes a shockingly abusive aspect of David.
