Sword of Destiny

Meng Yezi, an exceptional swordsmith, was forced to endure the tragedy of the annihilation of his entire family at the hands of Zhao Han, a traitor who worked in the court and was responsible for casting the renowned Hanguang Sword. He fought valiantly to protect his son Meng Yang and gave him the Chengying Sword in its unforged state. Meng Yang eventually reached adulthood and made attempts to exact revenge for the death of his father twenty years later. The Chengying Sword, which was intended to compete with the Hanguang Sword, had not yet been forged at the time. Then, the emperor became ill and passed away; by coincidence, Meng Yang was given the task of escorting the prince Gong Zidu back to the palace so that he might ascend to the throne as the new emperor.
