The Best of Enemies
Centers on the improbable relationship between Ann Atwater, a vocal civil rights activist, also C.P. Ellis, also a regional Ku Klux Klan leader who reluctantly co-chaired a community summit, combating across the desegregation of schools from Durham, North Carolina during the racially-charged summer of 1971. The events that ravaged would shift Durham as well as the lives of Ellis and Atwater .
