The Harder They Fall

Jobless sportswriter Eddie Willis is hired by corrupt fight promoter Nick Benko to advertise his own, an boxer that was unknown named Toro Moreno. A punch and also a glass jaw hampers his own odds for success Even though Moreno is just a giant. Exploiting Willis' reputation for ethics and standing at the boxing community, Benko arranges a series of fixed fights that propel the Moreno to number 1 contender for the championship. The champ, the sadistic Buddy Brannen, harbors bitterness at the promotion Toro was receiving and promises to brutally punish him.
