The Honorary Consul

It's about a half-English, half-Latino doctor who left his home to seek better opportunities in a politically insecure Latin American country. Also met is British Consul Charley Fortnum, a spokesman in Latin America who opposes the Revolution. Then there is his guilt-ridden alcoholism. But Clara is also Charley's wife, so the doctor can't marry her.
