The Lighthorsemen

Palestine, 1917. The British advance has been halted by the Turkish barrier between Gaza and Beersheba. The most recent offensive against Gaza was unsuccessful. Light Horse, an Australian mounted infantry regiment, was among the attacking forces... In a confrontation with Bedouin, Lighthorseman Frank is injured. He is replaced by a young soldier named Dave, who shows to be an expert marksman but is hesitant to fire at the enemy. During a German biplane assault, Dave demonstrates his worth. He meets Anne, a kind nurse, while recovering in the hospital... The unit is tasked with launching a daring flanking assault against Beersheba. But how can you persuade the Turks that Gaza will be the target of the main assault? And how do you strike without water in a desert?
