The Long and the Short and the Tall
from a william hall script A British troop is out in the bush recording jungle and troop noises to be played back by other forces to distract the enemy. As they draw closer to the base camp, they find themselves further from radio range, until the only clear station they can get is a Japanese broadcast. They are currently only 10 to 15 miles from a Japanese camp! Private Bamforth, a brawny "non-hero" who has nothing positive to say about anyone, especially Corporal Johnstone, adds to the tension (who holds an equal dislike for Bamforth). When they capture a Japanese soldier, their true colors emerge.
