The Return of the Musketeers
In 1649, Mazarin hires D'Artagnan, a poor musketeer, to find the other musketeers: Because Cromwell has deposed the English king, Mazarin is concerned of a revolt, notably from the popular Beaufort. Porthos joins because he is bored with his wealth and wants a title, while Aramis, an abbé, and Athos, a brawler with a clever son, secretly help Beaufort. When the musketeers fail to stop Beaufort from escaping from jail, Mazarin dispatches them to London to save Charles I. Justine, the vengeful daughter of Milady de Winter, their 20-year-old foe, is also on their trail. They must flee England, avoid Justine, serve the Queen, and ensure that Beauford's political changes are carried out.
