The Wonderful Wizard of Oz: The True Story
This famous story had been first written in 1900 Hollywood movie manager, a Chicago businessman, writer, poultry breeder, actor, boutique owner, by L Frank Baum and fan of all things technological and innovative. His life spanned an age of invention and achievement and several of these improvements helped to fuel the imagination of that this excellent storyteller. His ambition was to create the genuine fairy-tale that is American and engage, inspire and the story continues to fascinate millions of fans of all ages from all around the earth. This documentary explores how The Wonderful Wizard of Oz has come to symbolise the American Dream and includes previously unseen footage by the Baum family archives, still clips and photographs by early Oz films, in addition to interviews with relatives, literary pros and American historians since it tells the story of one person's life in parallel into the evolution of modern America.
