American Dreams
American Dreams is a American television Play program broadcast on the NBC television System, produced by Once A Frog and Dick Clark Productions in association with Universal Network Television and NBC Studios. The series Was Made by Jonathan Prince and produced by Prince and Josh Goldstein. The latter was one of the executive manufacturers with Dick Clark. It surfaced on September 29, 2002. The show is set mostly in Philadelphia. It aired on Sundays at 8:00 pm Eastern time, but proceeded to the exact identical period on Wednesdays into the next season finale, from March 9, 2005. The show tells the story of the Pryor family of Philadelphia throughout the mid-1960s. Season one occurs in 1963--64, season two in 1964--65, and season three in 1965--66. When it surfaced in Australia, however the show had been understood as Our Generation it was shifted back again to American Dreams when it came back to its 2nd season.
The theme song"Generation" was first written and performed by Emerson Hart, lead singer of this group Tonic. The song got Hart an ASCAP award for the Best Theme Song of Television from 2003. The show was the 2003 TV Land Awards"Future Vintage" winner.
