Brass Eye
Brass Eye is a UK tv collection of satirical information magazines. A string of six episodes aired on Channel 4 in 1997, and also a further incident in 2001.
The series was created by Chris Morris, and written by Jane Bussmann, David Quantick, Peter Baynham, Morris, Arthur Mathews and Graham Linehan. Michael Cumming directed the series. It was a sequel to both Morris's earlier in the day spoof news programmes About The Day and the Hour Today. It satirised media portrayal of social ills, in production and sensationalism of moral panics. The series starred Morris's The Day Today colleague Doon MacKichan and Gina McKee, Mark Heap, Simon Pegg, Julia Davis and Kevin Eldon.
