Fruits Basket

Tohru Honda, a 16-year-old orphan, is invited to live at the home of her classmate, the handsome lad Sohma Yuki, together with his cousins Kyo,16, and Shigure, 27. However, these young men and portions of the remainder of their family (both immediate and extended) are cursed; if they are hugged by the other gender, they transform into animals of the Chinese Zodiac. As she learns to know everyone in her vast family (particularly Yuki and Kyo) better, every day for Tohru is an adventure, as she encounters normal and odd circumstances. The curse of the Sohma family, however, is no joking matter; it entails horrific cruelty and heartache.
