Get a Life
Obtain a Life is a television sitcom that was broadcast to March 8, 1992, from September 23, 1990. The series stars Chris Elliott being being a paper boy named Chris Peterson. Peterson lived in an apartment above his parents' garage. The opening credits portray Chris Peterson delivering papers on his bike to the show's theme song,"Stand" by R.E.M.
The series turned into a production of Adam Resnick, Elliott and writer/director David Mirkin. Mirkin led the majority of these episodes and was producer/showrunner of this series. Writers of this series included Charlie Kaufman. And Bob Odenkirk, co-creator of both Mr. Show with Bob and David along with Tenacious D.
The series was unusual to get a prime time sitcom, and many times the storylines of the episodes were ravaged. By way of instance, the character of Elliott really expires in twelve episodes. The reasons for death contained falling from an airplane, strangulation, being defeated by a boulder, old age, tonsillitis gunshot wounds, getting run over by automobiles, sipping on cereal, and bursting. For this reason, it was a struggle for Mirkin and Elliott to find the series. Many of the executives at the Fox Network despised the show and thought it was too upsetting and the character of Elliott was insane.
