Gun is an American television anthology series which aired on ABC on Saturday night in April 1-2, to May 31, 1997 at 10:00 p.m Eastern time. The show lasted six episodes, each directed by a well-known manager, before being cancelled. Each episode involves the same pistol being an significant part the plot. The characters each episode are different and appeared unrelated to people that appeared at episodes. The show was created by Robert Altman and brought recognizable celebrities including James Gandolfini within his first television appearance, Kathy Baker, Carrie Fisher, Daryl Hannah, Randy Quaid, and Martin Sheen, in addition to Fred Ward. The theme song was a cover of The Beatles'"Happiness Is a Warm Gun", performed by U2.
