The show starred Malcolm-Jamal Warner from the role, who prior to the show co starred from The Cosby Show which ended its run at Spring 1992. Bill Cosby served as a on the show's executive producers and Warner serving as executive consultant credited as M.J. Warner. The song"Tennessee" by Arrested Development was used as the show's theme song.
