In Living Color
In Living Color is an American sketch comedy television series which ran to May 19, 1994, in April 1-5, 1990. Brothers Keenen and wrote, Damon Wayans made and starred in the program. The series has been recorded at the Fox Television Center and was created by Ivory Way Productions in association with 20th Century Fox Television. The name of this series has been inspired by the NBC announcement of broadcasts getting exhibited"in living color" throughout the 1950s and 1960s, ahead of main-stream color television. It indicates the fact that most of the throw of the show are shameful, unlike other sketch comedy shows such as Saturday Night Live whose casts usually are mostly white.
Different members of the Wayans family -- Marlon, Shawn and Kim -- had jobs, whilst brother Dwayne usually appeared as an extra. The series also starred the Jim Carrey and David Alan Grier. In Addition, celebrity Rosie Perez, choreographer Carrie Ann Inaba along with Dancing with the Stars judge and singer Jennifer Lopez were members of the dance troupe The Fly Girls of this show. The series won the Emmy in 1990 for Outstanding Variety, Music or Comedy Series.
