Jack Taylor
Jack Taylor is an Irish television movie based on a set of novels by Ken Bruen. Place in Galway, the show stars Iain Glen from the eponymous role of Jack Taylor, a former officer with the Garda Síochána who's an"finder" after leaving the ceremony. Taylor is a man who belongs looking for clues. He also knows his hometown's streets .
The show aired with Dutch subtitles on Canvas in Belgium, and subsequently was first broadcast on TV3 in Ireland August 2010. It received its UK debut on 21 February 2013. The show has been made available on DVD. It has received mixed reviews from critics. Bernice Harrison of this Irish Times felt the show was loathed. However, David Stephenson of the Daily Express said he had been hooked by the first episode's strong opening order. A private investigator interviewed by the Laura Barnett of The Guardian explained he found the series amusing, however it did not always give an accurate portrayal of his livelihood.
