In the Warring States Period of ancient China (475-221 BCE), Shin and Hyou Have Been war-orphans at the Realm of Qin. They imagine one proving themselves in the battlefield. One day, however, Hyou is brought to the palace with a minister. Winding up on the side of a power-struggle, Hyou oversees to come back to the village, barely alive. Shin meets with a boy who closely resembles Hyou, Ei Sei. For he is the king of Qin. Later he will grow to be the emperor Shi Huangdi.
