Lassie
Lassie is a American television show that follows the adventures of a lady Rough Collie dog named Lassie along with her companions, human and creature. The show was the creation of creature trainer Rudd Weatherwax and producer Robert Maxwell and was televised from September 1 2, 1954, to March 24, 1973. Before entering first-run syndication for the final two 25, one of those longest-running show on tv, the show chalked up 1 seasons on CBS. Filmed in monochrome, the show transitioned to color in 1965.
The show's first ten seasons follow Lassie's adventures in a small farming area. Fictional eleven-year-old Jeff Miller his mother, and his grandfather will be the very first companions of Lassie before his parents along with seven-year-old Timmy Martin simply take over from the season. She discovers new adventures, when Lassie's exploits on the farm end from the season. After traveling without leads to get a calendar year, Lassie settles at a children's home for the two seasons that are syndicated.
Lassie received critical celebrity and won 2 Emmy Awards. June Lockhart and stars Jan Clayton were nominated for Emmys. Product produced through the show's run contained books, other products, toys, clothing, along with a costume. The show host, campbell's Soup, offered two premiums, also distributed thousands. A episode published from August 1963 and was edited into the feature film Lassie's Great Adventure. The tv show The New Lassie brought Lassie celebrity Jon Provost back to tv as Steve McCullough. Episodes are released to DVD.
