Leave It to Beaver
Leave It to Beaver is an American television situation comedy about a curious and usually naïve boy named Theodore"The Beaver" Cleaver and his own adventures in home, in school, and all over his suburban area. The series also starred Barbara Billingsley and Hugh Beaumont as the parents of Beaver, June and Ward Cleaver, and Tony Dow as Beaver's brother Wally. With the Cleavers exemplifying the idealized family of the century the series has attained an iconic status in the US.
The series was made by authors Joe Connelly and Bob Mosher. These pros of radio and early television show inspiration in the lives, experiences, and conversations of their own children for dialogue, plots, and the show's characters. Leave It to Beaver is one of those first sitcom series composed by a child's pointofview. Like several tv dramas and sitcoms of the 1950s and early 1960s, Leave It to Beaver is a glimpse at snowy American boyhood. In a typical incident Beaver got into some sort of trouble, subsequently faced his parents for correction and reprimand. Neither parent has been omniscient. The series revealed the parents debating their approach and a few episodes were built across parental gaffes.
