Lexx
The Lexx television series is a science fiction and fantasy program that chronicles the exploits of a motley crew of passengers onboard an organic spacecraft named Lexx. They journey through two universes and visit various planets, one of which is a satirical version of Earth. This television show is a co-production between Canada and Germany, with some additional financing coming from Channel 5 in the United Kingdom. In January of2000, the series was acquired by Sci Fi Channel from Salter Street Films, and the network immediately began airing adaptations of Season 2 episodes for audiences in the United States. Salter Street Films, which was eventually bought by Alliance Atlantis, was a co-producer on the movie Lexx. In Canada, you may watch episodes of Lexx on the Showcase network, which is owned by Alliance Atlantis. The majority of the series was shot in Berlin and Halifax, with supplementary filming taking place on location in Iceland, Bangkok, and Namibia.
