Outrageous Fortune is a fresh Zealand television series, that ran from 1-2 July 2005 to 9 November 2010 around TV3. After the matriarch decided your household should go and abide by law the series followed the lives of the career West family. The show was created by James Griffin and Rachel Lang and created by South Pacific Pictures. Like the show itself, episodes shot their names from Shakespeare quotes. The show concluded after 107 episodes and 6 seasons rendering it the longest running drama series made in newzealand. The Principal cast for the show's run consisted of Antonia Prebble, Antony Starr, Siobhan Marshall, Robyn Malcolm, Frank Whitten and Kirk Torrance. Grant Bowler appeared at a role that was sporadic throughout the first five seasons of the show. Acclaim premiered on 1-2 July 2005 and welcomed the show. It gained several of the categories in the New Zealand television awards together with Malcolm's performance. Observing the victory of the show, England and the United States adapted Outrageous Fortune into their own respective series, neither of which were revived after the debut season.
