Perfect Strangers
Perfect Strangers is a popular American sitcom that aired on the ABC television network for a total of eight seasons, beginning on March25, 1986 and ending on August6, 1993. The series was developed by Dale McRaven and tells the story of the tumultuous relationship that develops between two distant cousins, Balki Bartokomous from eastern Mediterranean Europe and Larry Appleton from the American midwest. It began its run on Tuesdays in the spring of1986, with a brief initial season consisting of only six episodes. In the fall of that same year, it was relocated to Wednesday nights during prime time. It continued to take place on Wednesdays until March1988, when it was subsequently shifted to Fridays. Despite airing on Saturdays for a brief period of time in1992, the show was most successful when it served as the centerpiece for the original TGIF lineup that was broadcast on ABC on Friday nights.
