Soldier Soldier
Soldier Soldier is a British television drama series. The name comes from a traditional song of the same name -"Soldier, soldier are you going to marry me, with your musket, fife and drum?" - which was used as its theme music, an instrumental version.
Produced by Central Television and broadcast on the ITV network, it conducted for a total of 82 episodes along with seven seasons from 1991 to 1997. It featured the lives of a group of soldiers 'B' Company also a fictional British Army infantry regiment loosely dependent to the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers. Set in the immediate wake of the Cold War, it's considered a true depiction of army life at the early to mid-1990s, when the British Army was undergoing significant change. This is probably best demonstrated approximately 1994, if a significant variety of regiments that were real were forced into amalgamations with each other due to downsizing of the army, during the next series. At the world of Soldier Soldier, the King's Fusiliers will also be forced to amalgamate with all the Cumbrian Regiment, another fictional regiment, becoming the King's Own Fusiliers. Soldier Soldier had been broadcast, and the fatality rate was low with casualties on account of training accidents and suicides. The military in general was assigned than actually doing any fighting to performing peacekeeping missions. The series served to portray the army, in a lighting that was good, regardless of the national issues that could occur.
