Survivorman
Survivorman is an television program, broadcast in Canada and internationally on Discovery Channel and Science Channel. The show aired 4 specials and three seasons -- 2004, 2007, 2008, and 2012.
The name means the host of the show, Canadian filmmaker and survival expert Les Stroud, that used survival expertise and knowledge to survive for as many as ten days independently videotaping his experiences in remote locales at which he attracted with him no or little food, water, or equipment. Based on the internet site of the show, each location pre-planned and was scouted widely by Stroud and his team that consulted survival pros and natives of each region. The fact Stroud spent time without a manufacturing crew is a major focus of the show.
