Tammy
Tammy is an American sitcom, starring Debbie Watson from the title role. Manufactured by Universal City Studios, 26 colour off-the-shelf episodes were aired on ABC from September 17, 1965 to March 11, 1966.
Tammy was centered on both Tammy films. Tammy and the Bachelor starring Debbie Reynolds. Tammy Tell Me True. And the Doctor and Tammy both starring Sandra Dee. The pictures were adaptations of books by Cid Ricketts Sumner. Other African American television sitcoms like the Beverly Hillbillies also partially influenced the series. In particular, there are similarities between Tammy's Cletus Tarleton and also The Beverly Hillbillies' Jethro Bodine.
