The Hunger
The Hunger is a television horror anthology Show, co-produced from Telescene Film Group Productions Scott Free Productions and the Canadian Paytv channel The Movie Network. Though it shares a title with the feature film Jeff Fazio does not have any direct storyline or character connection to the film, and made The Hunger the show.
Originally shown on the Sci Fi Channel in the United States in the UK, the show can be organized into two seasons, and was broadcast from 1997 to 2000. Each incident was based around an story. Each event was hosted by terence Stamp and was substituted in the second season by David Bowie. Stories tended to focus on topics of obsession and self destructive appetite, with a component of erotica. Tropes for the stories contained poison, vampires, sex, and cannibalism.
