The Philanthropist

The Philanthropist is an American action play series that premiered on NBC on Wednesday, June 24, 2009. The program was a summer seriesfilmed in South Africa. It started to strong ratings, but saw a drop in audiences in weeks. The Philanthropist is a Carnival Films production in association with Original Media and The Levinson/Fontana Company. Tom Fontana, Barry Levinson, Peter Horton, Charlie Corwin, Gareth Neame, and Teri Weinberg functioned as executive producers. On October 2 1, 2009, NBC canceled the series. Fans attempts to keep the show on the atmosphere using face-book and also a charitable origin known as"Save The Philanthropist through Charity" were unsuccessful.
