Originally a two-hour program on week days, it expanded to Sundays from 1987 and Saturdays. The weekday broadcast expanded to four hours in 2007, and to 3 hours in 2000.
Now's dominance was unchallenged by the other networks until the 1980s, as it was triggered by ABC's Good Morning America. Now re took the Nielsen ratings guide the week of December 11, 1995, and held on that location for 852 successive weeks before week of April 9, 2012, as it was defeated by Good Morning America yet again. In 2002, Now has been rated #17 Ever.
